Defense remains questionable out west
The Dallas Stars suffered through a horrible western Canadian
road trip and still needs to form a defensive unit that can be
competitive with the rest of the NHL. Coach Ken Hitchcock, in his
last hoorah with the NHL, has always been a defensive genius who lets
the offense stand on its own. To upgrade the defense, the Dallas
Hockey Operations staff welcomed back defensive coaching specialist
Rick Wilson, who rode the NHL benches for many, many seasons mastering
his true profession coaching defense. The Stars continue to perform
around .500 and a potential playoff contender.
Also, Hitchcock wanted to add some punch so he called up first
round draft pick, Jason Dickerson from the Texas Stars (AHL) in
