Hitchcock juggles lines demotes Captain Jamey Benn
Call it what you want when you put your top player of the Dallas Stars on the 2nd line, it’s a demotion. Stars Coach Ken Hitchcock made the move placing Benn on the second line with Devin Shore and Alexander Radulov, who had already been demoted. This is classic Hitch, who had the team steaming into a solid 3rd place in the Central Division of the Western Conference before a disastrous road trip out west. The Dallas Coach was known to constantly stymie his two greats in Mike Modano and Brett Hull in the past obstructing their scoring prowess. While All-Star Tyler Seguin hit the 30 goal mark and  he continues to Center the top line of Remi Ellie and Mattias Janmark, Jamie Benn is failing with only 21 goals.
On the western road trip, Kari Lehtonen improved his goals against average to a team leading 2.29 again putting Hitchcock in a netminder dilemma.  LW Antoine Roussel goal scoring production is down while his penalty minutes are reach over 100. Less than half a dozen games remain in the regular season as the Stars must fight for the final playoff spot with six other teams.
