Stars make moves at the top on and off the ice
According to Dallas Stars Play by Play Broadcast Daryl ” Razor” Reaugh, Captain Jamie Benn seems to perform better at home. His concerns continued that the Stars, who must play as many games on the road as at home, are missing their Captain on the road…. thus the Western road swing tumble out of third place. Benn has been moved off of the first line and coach Ken Hitchcock is still looking for more production.
Off the ice, The Dallas Stars organization announced the appointment of Brad Alberts as President of the club and will assume full duties from Jim Lites.  While the two worked with team ownership in the past to guide the Stars’ business activities, Lites will abdicate business operations of the Stars and instead advise owner Tom Gaglardi on his hotel-restaurant company.  This is the second time that Lites has been moved out of the Stars Presidency. According to current and past reliable sources in the Stars front office, Lites was too involved in the hockey operations both times and the business side had not met ownership expectations.
Look forward to veteran Center Martin Hanzel and defenseman Marc Methot, back both healthy on the roster.
