Americans must run the schedule for playoff positioning
The Americans begin their biggest road trip of the season with six games and won’t return to the Allen Event Center untill Wednesday, March 21st. against the Tulsa Oilers as part of a six game home stand to end the month of March.
The Americans made a couple of changes this week, acquiring forward Thomas Frazee via trade, who is expected to see game action right away. In addition, they added goalie Jake Paterson, who was assigned to  Allen from the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL.  The San Jose Barracuda General Manager Joe Will announced that the club has signed Goaltender Jeremy Brodeur to a professional tryout agreement (PTO) from the Allen Americans, its ECHL affiliate. In 35 games with Allen, Brodeur, 21, is 14-11-1 with a 3.14 goals-against average and a .919 save percentage.
The son of three-time Stanley Cup Champion and Martin Brodeur. “We had a great week of practice this week,” said Americans defenseman David Makowski. “Guys were loose and having fun. I feel good about our team heading into this month’s road trip”
“We have to be better on home ice,” said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. “That’s been one of the disappointing parts of our season this year, is our home record.”
