Hitchcock will “Retire” after Stars fail to make the playoffs
The first major move of the Dallas Stars Hockey Operations without the influence of recently transferred former team President Jim Lites is to “retire” Stars head coach Ken Hitchcock according to three sources in the Stars Hockey Operations circle, who asked that their identity be withheld. A move at retreading the former Stanley Cup Winning coach in Dallas was made in order to boost ticket sales and revenues by Lites before his demotion. Lites has always had an uneducated Hockey imput into the hockey side of the business  but now  he will be in charge of selling restaurant franchises in the U.S for Stars Owner Tom Gagliardi.  This will also give current GM Jim Nill, one more year to turn things around in Dallas despite tight purse strings budgets by ownership.
The Stars failed to make a brainless trade deadline move to bring in  high scoring All-Star Rick Nash to Dallas for his offensive prowess from the New York Rangers.
