Riders welcome largest day-game crowd in team history announced attendance of 11,844 also ranks fifth among all games

With Dr Pepper Ballpark jam-packed with school students from across the DFW Metroplex, the Frisco RoughRiders on Monday drew the largest day-game attendance in franchise history.
A crowd of 11,844 was on hand for the team’s 11:05 a.m. Education Day game against the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros’ affiliate).
Monday’s attendance also ranks as the fifth-largest for any RoughRiders game in the history of the franchise, nudging past the 11,842 fans that enjoyed an injury rehab appearance by Rangers’ star Yu Darvish on May 1, 2016.
The top seven and 12 of the top 15 single-game attendances in team history have now come since the start of the 2015 season, the first full season of General Partner & CEO Chuck Greenberg’s ownership tenure.
Monday’s packed house also capped a successful four-game home series for the RoughRiders at the Box Office. A total of 40,018 fans attended the four-game set against Corpus Christi, marking just the ninth time in 16 seasons that the franchise welcomed more than 40,000 fans over four consecutive days.
The RoughRiders will return to Dr Pepper Ballpark next Tuesday, May 29 to open a six-game homestand, which runs through Sunday, June 3. The stanza will be headlined by the next Deep Ellum Brewing Party @ the Yard and Thirsty Thursday on Thursday the 31st and Strikeout Cancer Weekend from Friday the 1st through Sunday the 3rd.
