SMU and Georgetown will begin a home-and-home in 2018-19. The
Hoyas will host the first game at Capital One Arena on Dec. 15, 2018,
with a return game at Moody Coliseum in 2019-20.

SMU’s non-conference schedule includes the Cancun Challenge held
at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya Nov. 20-21. The Mustangs will face
Bradley in the semifinal on Tuesday followed by Penn State or Wright
State on Wednesday. The Mustangs open the Cancun Challenge with a pair
of home games at Moody Coliseum versus Southern Miss on Nov. 11 and
Western Carolina on Nov. 14.

The American Athletic Conference format for the 2018-19 season
gives SMU two matchups with seven conference opponents: Cincinnati,
Connecticut, Houston, Tulane, UCF, USF and Wichita State. The Mustangs
have one matchup with four league foes, hosting East Carolina and
Tulsa, while making road trips to Memphis and Temple.

The American Men’s Basketball Championship is March 14-17
(Thursday-Sunday) at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Mustangs are entering the third season under Head Coach Tim
Jankovich. Under Jankovich, the Mustangs are 56-21 with a 38-5 mark
at Moody Coliseum. The Mustangs won the 2017 American Athletic
Conference regular season and tournament titles, reaching the NCAA
Tournament. In the past two seasons, the Mustangs have five wins over
teams ranked in the top 15 of the Associated Press Poll.

The only previous meeting between SMU and Georgetown was in the
second round of the 1984 NCAA Tournament when the Mustangs fell 37-36
to the second-ranked and eventual national champion Hoyas.
