Yu Darvish made his final spring training start and made sure that he put on a show for all the Texas Rangers fans in attendance as well as those watching from home.

Though he gave up three runs over six innings of work, his 11 strikeouts made just about everyone stand up and take notice. The one that stood out the most may have made Colorado Rockies’ Marco Scutaro remember a wicked breaking ball that made him look absolutely foolish.

Mike Ferrin of MLB Network Radio and the host of Power Alley with co-host Jim Duquette, joined Todd Kaufmann, Mike Mcgehee and Jeff Johnson to talk about Darvish’s start and also talked about the newest ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers. What will that mean for Los Angeles and Ferrin talked about the team’s spending ability and will they be responsible spenders or flash the cash a la the New York Yankees?

Later in the podcast, Mike Bacsik joined the boys to talk about Darvish’s start and how good this start was going into the regular season. Bacsik also talked about the team’s focus going into 2012 as well as the future for Ian Kinsler, Josh Hamilton, and Michael Young.

All that and more on this addition of Scooping the Texas Rangers
