PGA TOUR event honored for “Best Product” in 2018

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLORIDA – The AT&T Byron Nelson (Dallas, Texas) was honored by the PGA TOUR at the TOUR’s Tournament Meetings on December 6.

The 2018 AT&T Byron Nelson earned an award for “Best Product,” in recognition of Club 360, a one-of-a-kind hospitality venue at Trinity Forest Golf Club.

“On behalf of the PGA TOUR, I am pleased to congratulate the AT&T Byron Nelson for this special recognition,” said PGA TOUR Chief Tournaments and Competitions Officer Andy Pazder. “The tournament committee should be extremely proud of its hard work and innovation in making the tournament the best among its peers on TOUR.”

New in 2018, the “Best Product” Award is presented to the tournament that best develops and implements a product that drives incremental revenue.

The AT&T Byron Nelson’s Club 360 attracted spectators who were looking for a premium hospitality experience with prime golf views, but at a lower price point. Following a 21-day construction timeline, the 12,000-square-foot panoramic structure offered sponsors a climate-controlled interior with 360-degree viewing over three holes. Exterior enhancements included reserved, stadium-style seating and covered four-top tables. As a result, nearly 5,000 spectators enjoyed Club 360.

“We continuously strive to introduce new, exciting experiences for our spectators, and are thrilled our tournament peers agree this one-of-a-kind venue was a success,” said Jon Drago, AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament Director. “Due to the popularity of this venue, we are also planning to incorporate even more amenities for 2019.”

Additionally, Harris Clark, a volunteer who has given 30 years of service to the tournament, was a finalist for Volunteer of the Year, and AT&T Byron Nelson’s sole beneficiary, Momentous Institute, was a finalist for Charity of the Year – resulting in a combined donation of $8,000 to Momentous Institute.

The 2019 AT&T Byron Nelson will be held May 6-12 at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
