With Opening Day for the Texas Rangers just two days away, Peter Ellwood of ShutdownInning joins Mike Mcgehee and Todd Kaufmann to talk about the starting rotation and why he is among the doubters of young right-hander, Neftali Feliz.
Ron Washington is also a topic of the conversation and it includes a quote from veteran Michael Young about an unfair label being slapped on his manager. Is there a difference between a motivator and knowing the game and can you be a successful coach/manager with one or the other? While there’s no question Wash has gotten this team to perform at a high level, one has to wonder how he’s going to manager two players, Josh Hamilton and Mike Napoli, who could be in their final year with the organization.
