STTR: Texas Rangers Offense Is Overwhelming and Yu Darvish is…Underwhelming?

Todd Kaufmann and Mike Mcgehee broke down the Texas Rangers’ offense and the kind of numbers they’ve been putting up so far this season. While it might be too much to expect them to keep up this kind of production, it was still unexpected when the season began. The question becomes, just what kind of production should be considered consistent for this team?

There’s no question Josh Hamilton is off to a career type season but it might be a little too much to expect him to consistently put up these kind of numbers for the remainder of the year. The good thing about the Rangers offense is, when one person struggles, another player picks up the slack.

While Mike Napoli started off slow, his last five games have been anything but non-existent. He’s hit four home runs over that stretch and seems to have found his groove.

RJ Choppy of 105.3 FM The Fan in Dallas, Texas joined the show to talk about his concerns with Yu Darvish. Does he really believe that Darvish has been underwhelming this season and did he really expect that the 25-year old right-hander would be the ace of the Rangers staff in just his first season?

All that and a complaint about the All-Star game on this addition of Scooping the Texas Rangers!
