The Texas Rangers wouldn’t have made it to the World Series without the heroics of outfielder Nelson Cruz during the 2011 American League Championship Series.

In fact, they may not have gotten to the World Series without his big home runs during their run in 2010. Needless to say, the Texas Rangers wouldn’t be who they are without their right fielder. Though some have said they would have been World Series champions if not for the miss played fly ball in the ninth inning of game six.

Be that as it may, Cruz says he would love to sign with the Rangers and do so long term.

According to LiderEnDeportes.com, the right fielder wants to sign a multi-year extension and while he says there haven’t been any talks between the two sides, he knows he’ll have to wait until after the arbitration cases are settled which won’t happen until January.
