FC Dallas unveils new uniforms
FC Dallas gave fans their first look at the new 2014 adidas home kit, presented by AdvoCare, at their annual Cocktails and Cleats season kickoff party.
The party, hosted by the FC Dallas Foundation at F.I.G. in Dallas, traditionally gives fans their first opportunity to meet the team each season. This year, fans received an extra treat with not only a new-look jersey, but a new line of merchandise available in the team store.
A joint-design by FC Dallas and adidas, the new uniform offers a modern take on the team’s traditional hoops with a dual-toned red-on-red look. The horizontal stripes across the chest are updated with 11 various stripe widths, representing the Starting XI players on the field.
The team’s popular “Dallas ‘Til I Die” motto is highlighted on the jersey’s neck tape, while the ever-present homage to Lamar Hunt is represented with an “LH” on the back neck. The lightweight jersey is paired with red shorts and red socks with the socks featuring similar red-on-red striping down the leg.
The team will take the field in the new 2014 jersey for the first time this Saturday, March 8, when FC Dallas hosts the Montreal Impact at Toyota Stadium, presented by AdvoCare. The jersey is available for purchase online now at ShopFCDallas.com and in the FC Dallas Team Store beginning at 2 p.m. on March 8. Adult authentic jerseys are $125 and adult replica jerseys are $90. Youth replica jerseys are $70 each. All jerseys can be customized with names and numbers for an additional fee of $20 through the Toyota Stadium Team Store.
