Mavs announce ‘14 preseason schedule

The Dallas Mavericks announced their 2014 preseason schedule, which tips off against Southwest Division foe Houston on Oct. 7 at 7:30 pm at the American Airlines Center.
Dallas begins the 2014 exhibition season with three consecutive home games. Following their matchup with the Rockets on Oct. 7, the Mavericks will then face the Oklahoma City Thunder at home on Oct. 10 and the Indiana Pacers at the American Airlines Center on Oct. 12.
The Mavericks’ first preseason road contest in 2014 will come against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Oct. 17.  The Mavericks will then face the Pacers for a second time (in Indiana on Oct. 18), before returning to the American Airlines Center for their final preseason home game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 20.
Dallas concludes its eight-game exhibition season on the road with games at New Orleans (played in Shreveport, La.) on Oct. 23 and at Orlando on Oct. 24.
All of the preseason games can be heard on ESPN 103.3 FM and in Spanish on ESPN Deportes (1540 AM). TXA 21 will broadcast the game versus Houston on Oct. 7, the game against Oklahoma City on Oct. 10 and the game at Cleveland on Oct. 17. Fox Sports Southwest will televise the meeting with Memphis on Oct. 20.

Following preseason play, Dallas tips off the 2014-15 regular season on the road against the defending NBA champion San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
