Nebraska and Oklahoma have added 2029 and ’30 contests their series-renewing contests in 2021 and ’22…Baylor and Ole Miss may be closing in on a 2020 one-game contract to play at Houston’s NRG Stadium as the Bears improve their future non-Big 12 slates…East Carolina and Marshall will meet again in 2019 and ’20…Army and North Texas will tangle during a four-year pact from 2018-21…Arizona and Kansas State will play a home-and-home series in 2024 and ’25, and the Wildcats also have a future series set with Nebraska…NCAA FBS opponent Florida Atlantic of Conference USA, Southeast Missouri and Murray State highlight Southern Illinois’ non-conference slate for the recently-released 2016 schedule…Oklahoma’s 84th annual Crimson-Cream spring football contest will be played at 2 p.m. (CDT) on Saturday, April 9 at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. NFF College Hall of Fame coaches Lloyd Carr of Michigan and Herb Deromedi of Central Michigan have joined retired Southern Miss head coach and quarterback standout Jeff Bower and Oregon AD Rob Mullens as new members of the 2016-17 College Football Playoff selection committee.

Conference USA is working to maintain its post-2016 bowl contracts and to continue the 7-3 composite C-USA bowl mark over the last two seasons…The American Athletic Conference closed its post-2015 bowl campaign on a solid note as champion Houston thumped Florida State 38-24 in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. It capped the conference-high eighth bowl appearance by the AAC after the 2015 outing.

2010 Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton of Auburn joins 1997 NFF William V. Campbell Trophy winner Peyton Manning of Tennessee, Alabama’s Joe Namath and Ken Stabler, and Notre Dame’s Joe Montana as quarterbacks who have played for the national college football championship and a Super Bowl crown. Oklahoma’s renovation of Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium Owen Field is proceeding on schedule for 2016…Syracuse athletics is seeking concrete options for renovations to the Carrier Dome and will entertain suggestions at this week’s Board of Trustees meeting…Auburn’s 2015 fiscal year budget took a $22.8 million leap thanks to additional bowl and television revenue…Old Dominion athletics set a school record for fundraising in 2015 with $8.12 million…Missouri athletics showed a $4.36 million surplus for 2015…Southern California, UCLA and other area collegiate football teams are working on new marketing and promotional areas with the return of the NFL Los Angeles Rams to LA Coliseum in 2016…Baylor athletics has signed with Teamworks Software for internal and external budgeting and overall efficiency.

The NCAA will add public malt beverage sales for 2016 to the Women’s softball World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla., and the Men’s College Baseball World Series in Omaha, Neb….Louisville athletics is working closely with NCAA enforcement and infractions’ committee administrators on a recent investigation…The ITA recently named Chris Eriksson as championships and rankings coordinator.
