Quick Notes:
– Alabama now holds the BCS/CFP record for consecutive weeks in either standings with 66 appearances from 2008-16. USC appeared in 65 consecutive BCS standings from 2002-09 for the previous mark. Next on the listings in either rankings are Texas with 56 from 2003-10 and Ohio State with 50 from 2004-10.
– There have been five schools appearing in each of the 2014-16 CFP standings. They are Alabama, Clemson. Florida State, Ohio State, and Utah. No school appeared in all 125 BCS standings from 1998-2013. Texas had the most Top 15/25 showings with 104 over 16 seasons.
– The Kellner Report by Cody Kellner compiled an all-time BCS points’ total for every appearance in the BCS standings. The Top Five finishers (with first place weeks in parentheses) were Oklahoma (20) 1,821 composite standings points; Ohio State (15), 1,626; Texas (3) 1,611; Florida (7) 1,596; and LSU (10), 1,503.
