AT&T Byron Nelson’s final field set with 8 of the world’s top 20 players

Irving, Texas, May 12, 2017– Eight of the world’s top 20 players will lead the field at the AT&T Byron Nelson, set for May 15-21 at TPC Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas. Amongst the 156 players vying for the $7.5 million purse, the $1,350,000 first-place check and 500 FedExCup points are world #1 Dustin Johnson, Jason Day (#3), Dallas-native Jordan Spieth (#5), as well as 2017 Masters champion and AT&T Byron Nelson defending champion Sergio Garcia (#6).

Patrick Reed (#15), Charl Schwartzel (#17), Matt Kuchar (#18), Brooks Koepka (#19), Jimmy Walker (#24), and Brandt Snedeker (#27) will also join the star-studded field.

Also joining the final field are past champions Steven Bowditch, Jason Dufner, Keegan Bradley, Brendon Todd, Rory Sabbatinni, Vijay Singh, and Ernie Els.

Tournament sponsor’s exemptions include Masters and US Open Champion Angel Cabrera and UT Austin graduate Beau Hossler, and longtime Four Seasons Director of Golf Paul Earnest, who was surprised with a sponsor exemption at the AT&T Byron Nelson kickoff luncheon in March. Other sponsor exemptions include Austin Smotherman, Kramer Hickock, John Merrick, Robby Shelton and Fabrizio Zanotti.

Outside the ropes, the AT&T Byron Nelson will have something for all ages – from live concerts in the Pavilion to kid-friendly activities throughout the week. Highlights include:

Free Youth Clinic, presented by Under Armour and hosted by Jordan Spieth
5 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, TPC Four Seasons Practice Facilities
The Youth Clinic, presented by Under Armour and hosted by Jordan Spieth, is a free event, open to the public and specially designed to provide great family fun. The crowd will be entertained with trick golf shots, tips and long drives, as well as free treats and prizes.

Pavilion, Presented by Michelob Ultra
After Play, Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20, Champions Way
Enjoy the hottest social spot on the course during and after play. Fans can enjoy free concerts Friday and Saturday night, both presented by Under Armour:

AT&T FanDome
Thursday, May 18 – Sunday, May 21, Behind #2 Tee along Champions’ Way.
AT&T and DIRECTV. The AT&T FanDome showcases numerous 360 video experiences; from a live stream 360 broadcast of the tournament, to a special vignette of our favorite AT&T Athlete (Jordan Spieth: The Course of Life). Fans can also see the 4K broadcast, making them feel like they’re out there on the course.

KidsZone
10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 18 – Sunday, May 21, Fairway of Hole No. 1
Children ages 13 and younger can enjoy bounce houses, arts and crafts, putt-putt and more in this air-conditioned, family-friendly oasis.

Free Admission and Autograph Zone for Kids
Children ages 17 and younger receive free admission, courtesy of Under Armour to the tournament throughout the week. They also have access to the Autograph Zone, where they can get autographs from their favorite PGA TOUR pros.

Military Appreciation at the AT&T Byron Nelson
Two complimentary tickets are available for all active, reserved or retired military personnel Thursday through Sunday of the AT&T Byron Nelson, courtesy of Liberty Mutual. Military personnel are invited to gather, meet, exchange stories, relax and watch the tournament on the 18th green at the Patriots’ Outpost.

PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge
Help raise money for the tournament’s nonprofit, Momentous Institute, by voting in the PGA TOUR Volunteer Challenge, presented by Myrbetriq. Simply cast one vote for your favorite AT&T Byron Nelson volunteer — each vote counts as a $1 donation to Momentous Institute.

About the AT&T Byron Nelson
The AT&T Byron Nelson is hosted by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and has been a premier PGA TOUR event for 49 years. The tournament has raised more than $150 million since its inception in 1968, making it the most financially successful charity event on the PGA TOUR.
